1990s Vintage Victorian Gothic Style Red Peau de Soie Gown by Eri Matsui, Extra Small to Small
Step into the world of enchanting elegance with this breathtaking red peau de soie gown designed by the renowned Japanese designer, Eri Matsui. The dress showcases a striking silhouette, featuring leg o' mutton puff sleeves that gracefully taper to points over the wrist. A sweetheart neckline adorned with matching fluted trim creates a standing collar, while a large floral corsage, embellished with black and clear beads, adds a touch of sophistication.
The floor-length mermaid skirt is a masterpiece in itself, adorned with fluted ruffles at the hip and culminating in a small train. The back of the gown boasts a separate longer train, topped with a fluted floral bustle, intricately trimmed with beads. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the bodice is underlined in heavy cotton, and the skirt in organza.
This exquisite creation is the epitome of gothic glamour, making it a statement piece that exudes timeless allure and unparalleled craftsmanship. Elevate your style with this extraordinary gown and make a lasting impression at any special occasion.

- Materials: Synthetic peau de soie, synthetic fluted trim, cotton bodice underlining, organza skirt underlining, lightweight synthetic lining, tulle, self covered buttons, glass beads, invisible zipper.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Someone wanted to obscure the origins of this dress. They hacked the tag out of the lining and in doing so cut out part of the exterior fabric by the zipper. This has been patched but could have been executed better. There are loops attached to the bodice lining at the waist, I'm thinking there was probably some sort of waist stay threaded through there that is now missing. There are some dirt marks on the train and hem, and a few little snags to the peau de soie. Please view the photos carefully.
