Davis Cape in Leopard Sequin

Hand-crafted in New Orleans, the Leslie Courreges Davis Cape takes the perfect fitted cape silhouette and adds a flourish with a sequin animal print. Shoulder pads create a strong shape, while two slits provide a place to slide your hands through.

The exterior is 100% nylon animal-print sequin netting in medium pink, antique rouge, and black with a black satin charmeuse lining.

Remembered for her sardonic, strong characters, the Davis Cape honors the career and legacy of actress Bette Davis. Often imitated, but truly original, Davis was the first female president of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, as well as the first woman to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Film Institute. She dedicated significant time to World War II efforts, including the sales of bail bonds, performing for black regiments as the sole white entertainer in Hattie McDaniel’s acting troupe, and opening the Hollywood Canteen - an effort which earned her the Distinguished Civilian Service Medal.
